Christmas lists...

Julia's Christmas list this year:

"An American Girl doll, a refrigerator and microwave for my bedroom, a spy kit, my own computer, and $5000."

Seriously.

Anybody know where I can get a spy kit?

... and do you think I should leave her alone in her own room?

What I have learned about God that I love:

...That in my angriest moments... in my most self-pitying periods.... when in hurt and hateful spite I wanted to declare Him non-existant, He quietly, yet profoundly,proved me wrong. ....That He keeps His promises. Even before I knew what they were. ...That when we overcomplicate things... He's not above undoing our mess or about saying I told you so. Nor is He beneath getting the message to us if we won't seek Him out. ...That He is sovereign. And He will remain so, despite my stubborness or denial or obliviousness. And that He holds no grudges when I come back in humility to seek that sovereignty. ...That He calls us to simplicity. ...Love.... .....Faith.... ......... Hope.... - Ironically, the very things every soul is seeking at the end of the day and the end of their life. ....that there was a time I wondered what could really be interesting to learn about Him. And that now, I realize,I will never come close to knowing enough.
